Juventus have been docked 10 points for 2022-23, here’s what we know so far and live reactions.

The FIGC Court of Appeal has hit Juventus with a second point penalty in five months. The first ruling, from January 2023, consisted in a 15-point deduction but was temporarily revoked by CONI in April.

CONI Judges claimed that FIGC had to re-consider the punishment for the Bianconeri and explain in more detail their decision, so the Bianconeri temporarily regained 15 points last month.

The FIGC Prosecutor Giuseppe Chiné had requested a 10-point penalty on Monday morning and the Court of Appeal confirmed a 10-point deduction in the evening.

Andrea Agnelli, Fabio Paratici, Federico Cherubini and Maurizio Arrivabene as being held responsible for the capital gains scandal while Pavel Nedved, Paolo Garimberti, Assia Grazioli-Venier, Caitlin Mary Hughes, Daniela Marilungo and Francesco Roncaglio were all cleared of wrongdoing.

In theory, Juve could lodge another appeal, but considering the last attempt agreed the club had violated Article 4 – covering fair play and sporting probity – it is unlikely to be successful.

This is the third time that the FIGC Federal Court of Appeal has ruled on this situation.

The first time was in May 2022, when a total of 11 clubs (Juventus, NapoliGenoaSampdoriaEmpoli, Parma, Pisa, Pro Vercelli, Pescara, Novara and Chievo) and 61 directors were all cleared.

Monday’s FIGC ruling leaves Juventus out of the top four, five points below fourth-placed Milan their next opponent in Serie A.
