Juventus are reportedly on the verge of agreeing a deal for Udinese’s young goalkeeper Alex Meret.

According to Calciomercato, Juve are in talks with Udinese over a deal worth 5m plus bonuses for Meret, who is currently on loan at Serie B outfit SPAL.

The website adds Meret will see the season out at SPAL before joining up with his new Juve teammates for the time, although he is expected to be loaned out again, this time to a team in Serie A.

Furthermore, his arrival would not impact on Juve’s reported interest in Milan prodigy Gianluigi Donnarumma, who is two years younger than Meret but has already achieved first-choice status for Milan and picked up an Italy cap.
