Juventus’ Federico Cherubini will meet with Angel Di Maria’s entourage in London today as they look to agree a deal.

The meeting has been much awaited by Bianconeri fans, with many excited at the prospect of seeing the Argentinian forward joining the club. Juventus are keen to pick him up on a free transfer and they’re hoping to do this quickly to avoid any possible complications.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, both parties are optimistic that a deal can be reached but Di Maria must make a concession on either the duration of the contract or the figures involved. He wants a one-year deal but Juventus are offering two, looking to take advantage of the Growth Decree.

This leaves Di Maria with a choice: either he accepts a two-year deal worth €7.5m net per season plus add-ons, or a one-year contract worth €5m net plus add-ons. The Bianconeri are not planning to change these offers, leaving everything in the hands of the player.
