Torino boss Ivan Juric says Andrea Belotti and the Granata must only sit down and talk about the striker’s renewal: ‘The situation is easier than you think…’

Il Gallo sees his contract expire in the summer and is expected to leave as a free agent in June. However, Juric still hopes the Italy international will commit his future to the Granata.

“My feeling is that the situation is easier than you think. If they sit down together, they’ll reach an agreement and sign,” he said at a press conference today.

“It’s never easy to take a step forward, many clubs have tried to do it but failed. We need to do things in the right way,” he continued.

“We have the young players, but we need something more to aim higher. I am only focused on the final part of the campaign, but after that, I will talk to the club and we’ll make our assessments.”

Juric was also asked what he had felt during the commemoration of the Superga air crash earlier this week.

“It was moving, especially when I saw Il Gallo read the names of those who lost their lives. I saw many people, a lot of families. I saw what Torino mean to our fans. It left me a sense of unity and a big ambition for the future.”

The Granata have collected 47 points in 35 games this season and face Napoli at the Stadio Grande Torino tomorrow.
