Inter have a chance to complete a domestic treble and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, eight players will always start in the last four games of the season.

The Nerazzurri host Empoli at the Stadio Meazza today and need a win to leapfrog Milan on top of the table. The Rossoneri will face Verona away on Sunday. Both Inter and Juve play today as they will meet in the Coppa Italia Final this coming Wednesday.

The Nerazzurri are unbeaten against Max Allegri’s men this season and won the Supercoppa against them in January. Therefore, winning the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia would allow Inzaghi to complete a domestic treble in his first season in charge of the Benamata. It’s not an easy task, especially after their 2-1 loss against Bologna two weeks ago.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Inzaghi won’t rotate in any of the last four games of the season and eight key players will always start in the remaining four games of the campaign.

They are Samir Handanovic, Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, Nicolò Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, Hakan Calhanoglu Ivan Perisic and Lautaro Martinez.

The Argentinean striker has contributed to four goals in the last four Serie A games, while Perisic scored or assisted at least once in each one of the last five league matches.

Alessandro Bastoni is another regular starter but is currently on the treatment table due to a muscular problem. He won’t play against Empoli tonight but could be back against Juventus, joining Inzaghi’s ‘untouchables.’

Brozovic will play all the remaining games as Inter failed to win every Serie A match without the Croatia international this season (two draws, one defeat).

Handanovic will be between the sticks also in the Coppa Italia Final against Juventus. Inzaghi has never rotated his goalkeepers in Coppa games this term and will continue to do so until the end of the campaign, especially after Ionut Radu’s howler against Bologna.

  1. This Scudetto is Milan`s to lose. It would be incredible for them to drop 1st position AGAIN!

Yes, I expect Inter to win SuperCoppa against Dr. Max the terr0rist

  2. Domestic treble? How optimistic. We’ve got only supercoppa in 120th mnute against Juventus in crisis. It’s enough. Milan already wonscudetto on derby. It’s unbelievable to win 3 times against Juventus in year.
