The Grifone have already inflicted heavy defeats on Milan and Juventus this season.

“Inter are a little different now and they only lost at the San Paolo because Napoli are a fantastic team,” said Juric in his Press conference.

“Stefano Pioli is a great Coach and I can already tell he is preparing their games in a more Italian style. We must start the game with courage and when we face big clubs it does seem to be a different performance.

“Inter tend to do really well for certain periods of the match and then have blackouts, so we need to take advantage of those moments when they are not at 100 per cent and hold out under pressure when they’re firing on all cylinders.”

Few people know the problems of working at Inter more than Juric, who was assistant manager to Gian Piero Gasperini during a very short-lived spell.

“Inter was like another world. You enter the locker room with players who are basically small businesses and if you don’t exude confidence, they can spot it immediately.

“It’s difficult to play against the big clubs, but we will try to do our best. We have to play in a Genoa style, making the most of the right spaces.

“I am thinking about starting Nikola Ninkovic, as he has done very well when coming off the bench.”

Ezequiel Munoz and Diego Laxalt have recovered, but Leonardo Pavoletti is still out of action with Lucas Orban suspended.

Juric was also asked about his surprise meeting with Sampdoria outcast Antonio Cassano.

“I want to clarify that we met coincidentally in the same restaurant. It was fun, we talked about the past and that’s it. Talking about a transfer bid is just fantasy football.”

Genoa squad for Inter: Perin, Edenilson, Gentiletti, Cofie, Izzo, Burdisso, Simeone, Ntcham, Ocampos, Gakpé, Biraschi, Lazovic, Lamanna, Munoz, Pandev, Brivio, Fiamozzi, Rigoni, Zima, Veloso, Rincon, Laxalt, Ninkovic
