Ivan Juric has reportedly been assured his Genoa job is safe for now, but President Enrico Preziosi wants a better performance against Napoli.

The Croat replaced Davide Ballardini last month, with Grifone having won three of their last five Serie A matches, and sitting just three points off fourth place with a game in hand.

Juric had already been sacked by Genoa twice, and had a baptism of fire with games against Juventus away, Udinese at home, Milan away, Inter away, Napoli at home and Sampdoria in the Derby della Lanterna.

Juric had already been sacked by Genoa twice, and had a baptism of fire with games against Juventus away, Udinese at home, Milan away, Inter away, Napoli at home and Sampdoria in the Derby della Lanterna.

While the Rossoblu did get a point in Turin in his first game, they were thrashed 5-0 at San Siro at the weekend.

That led to reports Juric could be sacked already, but Tuttosport believes he will be given time.

However, owner Enrico Preziosi expects to see a far better performance in Naples at the weekend.

The November international break follows that match, and that is traditionally a time when Coaches are most at risk.
