Torino boss Ivan Juric reveals Pietro Pellegri, Antonio Sanabria and Samuele Ricci won’t be available against Juventus tomorrow and believes Gleison Bremer did the right in joining the Old Lady.

Torino will host Juventus at the Stadio Grande Torino tomorrow. Both teams are not in great form as Juventus lost back-to-back games against Milan and Maccabi Haifa, while Torino won just one of the last five matches in Serie A.

“I see a focused team, we want to put in a great performance and try to win. It’s an unbalanced derby, last year we came close, and now we want to make it,” Juric said at a press conference.

“Juventus will have emotional strength, and they can become even more united in such circumstances. I don’t know if their defeat in the Champions League is good for us, surely they have great players who didn’t do well.

“Maccabi hurt them in the final third and with crosses, we’ll play with our style,” he continued.

Torino snatched a 1-1 draw against Empoli last week, but Juric is not disappointed.

“We should not be frustrated, we work hard, but we’ve created numerical advantage and they never had a shot on target,” he said.

“Some teams did not produce as much as us but are ahead in the table. This should not affect us, we must improve.”

The Croatian tactician will be short of options in attack as both Torino strikers are unavailable.

“Sanabria and Pellegri are out. Pellegri has an old scar that bothers him. Sanabria has slight muscle fatigue,” he said.

“I am sorry for Pellegri. He is not having real injuries, but there are problems that keep blocking him. Ricci has had a fever and is out.

“Karamoh is a winger, but he did well when he was introduced the other day. Let’s see what happens.”

The Granata will reunite with Bremer who was named the best Serie A defender last season at Torino before his €50m move to Juventus.

“He is a top player, I am happy for him,” said Juric.

“He earns more money and plays in the Champions League. He wanted to leave a year earlier and has become the best Serie A defender. Now he plays differently, we must move well up front because if you stay close to him, he will eat you. He joined Juventus and it was the right choice for his career.”

Bremer rested against Maccabi Haifa on Tuesday night after starting in each of the previous 12 games across all competitions for the Bianconeri.

The 25-year-old has scored one goal at the Allianz Stadium.

  1. Of cource it’s a problem with Bremer “ön the wrong side “, but Toro now has Schuurs in the defense. He’s a real solid player who has impressed more and more . I hope we’ll se him from the start.
