The Nerazzurri are in Dublin for a friendly tournament that sees them take on Celtic today at 16.30 UK time and Manchester City on Sunday.

The goalkeeper was meant to be on his vacation after the Copa America, but was recalled early when Emiliano Viviano snapped the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee.

“We ended last season with a great victory in the Coppa Italia, now I'm happy to be back for a new adventure,” he told Inter Channel.

“Hopefully we can take the Scudetto back this season, as last term it slipped through our fingers.

“I found my teammates fired up and it's always nice to be among these players. There's a good feeling here.”

Julio Cesar was recalled early not so much for the Dublin Super Cup, where Luca Castellazzi is expected to start, but for the Italian Super Cup on August 6 against Milan.

“The Copa America has just finished, so I don't think I've lost my form. It'll only take a few days to get back into gear and I want to begin again by winning another trophy.”
