“After two weeks focused on training, we’ve been able to work hard and improve a few things. It’s important that we get back on track today and send a signal that the old Roma is back,” the defender told Roma TV.

“We need the three points, especially playing at home. Chievo are a tough side and already proved that with their slender defeat to Juventus in the opening round. The 6-1 loss to Fiorentina didn’t really reflect the performance either.

“We must be wary of what’s going on in all areas of the field to prevent their counter-attacks, but we are Roma and have to do our duty.”
