The two teams met at the Stadio Dall’Ara last weekend in a controversial game that the Rossoneri were expected to win.

However, Amelia, who has recently replaced the injured Christian Abbiati, has admitted he was at fault for the dropped points.

“I’m hearing a lot of criticism aimed at my teammates for the draw at Bologna,” he told Milan News.

“However, I was to blame for the draw because I didn’t stop that shot from Alessandro Diamanti. It’s as simple as that.

“We were unlucky. We could have been top of the table and that just makes the result even more disappointing.

“Now we just have to focus on the games against Siena and Cagliari. A little false step at Bologna certainly shouldn’t stop us from our objective.”

The Rossoneri are two points behind joint-leaders Udinese and Juventus following the latest round of games.
