Napoli hitman Ezequiel Lavezzi has taken to Twitter to diffuse the rumours linking him with a big-money switch to Paris-Saint Germain.

The Argentine was expected to join the revolution in the French capital imminently, but he has insisted that his thoughts are solely on enjoying family time.

“I am on holiday with my family and I will speak when the time comes, but not now,” he wrote. “I want to make it clear that my brother has not spoken with anyone. Journalists just want to speak!”

Lavezzi was responding to alleged quotes attributed to his brother, Diego, who claimed that the player was leaving Naples because of the pressure of the fans.

PSG have been heavily linked with a bid for Lavezzi as they raid Serie A to build a capable squad for next season’s Champions League.

They’ve also been paired with Milan stopper Thiago Silva and Inter right-back Douglas Maicon.
