Italian clubs won all four of their Champions League games this week and have overtaken England to go second in the UEFA rankings.

Juventus swept Young Boys aside 3-0, Roma beat Viktoria Plzen 5-0, Inter won 2-1 away to PSV Eindhoven and Napoli defeated last season’s Champions League finalists Liverpool 1-0.

Those results, as well as Inter coming back to stun Tottenham Hotspur in the first round, mean that as of tonight Italy have overtaken England in the UEFA ranking.

Spain remain clear at the top on 89,283 points, but Italy are now behind them on 67,440 compared to England on 67,177.

Germany (61,784) and France (51,998) complete the top five leagues.

This is also the first time that four Italian sides have won on the same matchday in a Champions League group stage since November 2005.
