While Italy play England behind closed doors in Wolverhampton, there are fears a flood of hooligans will travel to San Siro for the Nations League return match.

The reason England are playing at Molineux in an empty stadium on June 11 is punishment from UEFA after the behaviour of their fans in the last game against Italy.

That was the EURO 2020 Final at Wembley Stadium in July 2021, which saw hundreds if not thousands of ticketless supporters barge their way into the arena and violent clashes outside.

It is only a one-match ban, but it does make it even more likely that fans will then travel for the away fixtures in the Nations League against Germany on June 7 and Italy on June 11.

According to The Sun newspaper, the England FA are concerned that because that Italy match is on a Saturday, far more of the hooligans will travel to Milan than Munich.

An alcohol ban is likely to be imposed in the city on the day of the event, as Italian businesses are notoriously fearful of England fans drinking all day and damaging or urinating on historic landmarks.

  1. There is nothing to fear from the ‘god save the queen’ imbeciles. They’re only ‘tough’ at home given that the lax policing encourage their dark ages behaviour. They’ll come to Italy, get a bit loud, the police will then shaft them mercilessly and then they’ll go home crying of police heavy handedness. It is never their fault remember.

  2. Heavy handed police is when you get more violence. You lot need to grow up. Just keep the fans separate snd they’ll be no trouble.

Yes what happened at Wembley was a mess but England fans haven’t created trouble for years before that. The ultras in serie a have a far darker history.

  3. @BiancoCazzo.

hahaha. Typical deluded and completely blind English.

No problem for years? Your fans just attacked patrick vieira (a manager) on the pitch. Fans attacking the villa goalkeeper on the pitch. particular football clubs openly booing the taking of the knee whilst the home secretary defended them as their right to freedom of expression.

It is always others. It is never English fans. What on earth are you doing here then? go and support your local team.

  4. 2016 vs Russia must’ve been three decades ago! Turned Marseille into a squaller! But but… It was the fault of the Russians and French police…. Only minority English fans were the problem! Then they get sent to local magistrates, get hit with a ten pound fine because they are all naturally on the dole, and of you go to do it again!
