The Azzurri continue their bid to qualify for the 2014 World Cup on September 6.

The FIGC confirmed this game will be hosted by Palermo’s Stadio Barbera, which in the past had been named La Favorita.

A decision was made after consultations with FIGC President Giancarlo Abete, Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini and the Mayor Leoluca Orlando.

It will be the 11th time Italy have played in Palermo, the most recent outing a 1-0 World Cup qualifying win against Slovenia in October 2005.
