Manuel Locatelli has recovered from COVID and will be available for the potential World Cup play-off Final with the Azzurri.
The Juventus midfielder had been included in the Azzurri squad despite testing positive last week after the Old Lady’s 3-0 loss over Villarreal in the Champions League.
The Serie A giants have now confirmed that their player has recovered.
“Manuel Locatelli carried out the controlled check with a diagnostic test (swab) for Covid-19 which gave a negative result. The player has therefore recovered and is no longer subjected to the isolation regime. He will depart this evening to join the Italian national football team retreat in Coverciano,” the club said in an official statement.
Locatelli was part of the Azzurri squad that won the Euros last summer and scored two goals against Switzerland in the second group stage game.
