Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano believes La Viola didn’t deserve to lose against Napoli and insists his side still has room for improvement.

The Tuscans suffered a 2-1 defeat at the Stadio Artemio Franchi despite a goal from Lucas Martinez Quarta, who had given them the lead.

“We didn’t deserve to lose today, I am happy with the performance,” Italiano told DAZN.

When asked if Fiorentina had sat deeper to face Napoli, Italiano replied: “It’s a psychological issue, the stronger opponent can create trouble sometimes and now it’s up to us to find the right key.

“We are not perfect after just two months and a half, but we have room for improvement.”

  1. We need more quality on the field, Italiano is a good coach but he’s not a magician. Just look at the Biraghi and Politano duel. If Rocco wants improvements he needs to bring reinforcements ASAP. With players like Callejon and Sottil we won’t get to Europe. And don’t even get me started on Kokorin, even Kouame would be 10 times better.

  2. Kokorin needs to be dropped asap. I dont think i’ve seen him make a single good play this season.
And Callejon seemed to have the jitters against his old club, man misplaced passes and poor ball control
