The Italian Referees’ Association has announced the officiating team for the upcoming Coppa Italia final between Fiorentina and Inter.

The Viola booked their spot in the final after beating Sampdoria in the Round of 16, Torino in the quarter-finals and Cremonese in the semi-finals, giving them the chance to win their first Coppa Italia in over two decades.

Inter’s path to the Coppa Italia final has been a little more difficult, beating Parma in the Round of 16, Atalanta in the quarter-finals and Juventus in the semi-finals. Simone Inzaghi’s side are also preparing for the Champions League final against Manchester City next month.

As announced by the AIA, Massimiliano Irrati will leading the officiating team in the Coppa Italia final, with linesmen Ciro Carbone and Alessandro Lo Cicero also taking part. The fourth official will be Michael Fabbri and the VAR will be led by Paolo Mazzoleni and Valerio Marini.

Irrati has never officiated a cup final before, although he did oversee a Serie B play-off final between Empoli and Livorno in 2013.
