Milan Coach Pippo Inzaghi says he sensed a fear about the Rossoneri’s play during their opening weeks of pre-season.

The San Siro side endured an awful tour of the United States, conceding ten goals and only scoring one in matches against Olympiakos, Manchester City and Liverpool.

However, at a Press conference early this afternoon, the Diavolo boss says he saw an improvement during the meeting with the Reds and is convinced the team will win fans over this season.

“At the beginning I sensed fear in our play, born out of previous results,” Inzaghi admitted. “I dealt with this by working.

“Against Liverpool for example, we conceded two goals through our own errors but that’s fine because we were trying to play the ball.

“We want to impose our style of play and in Italy we can do it. We will dominate a lot of matches and I want us to play without fear.

“We will win our fans back by playing great football.”

Inzaghi the declined to comment on Milan’s transfer activity this summer, though he did admit it would be useful if the club made another signing.

“I don’t like talking about something on the outside because it is right that Galliani talks about it.

“I think I have a competitive squad, if someone came in it would be better.

“We will get Montolivo back, de Jong will come back and then we will have an embarrassment of choices.

“There are some players like Cristante, Saponara and Niang who could give us a hand.”
