Simone Inzaghi assured Lazio are not distracted by the Rome Derby in Serie A, as they can get past RB Salzburg into the Europa League semi-final.

The first leg was a 4-2 thriller at the Olimpico and the decider is tomorrow at 20.05 UK time (19.05 GMT) in Austria.

“We know that this is going to be a very difficult match and we must approach it in the right way,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Salzburg are an excellent side, they’ll do everything to make life difficult for us. I am confident, as we prepared in the best way after the Udinese game.

“I called up 20 players and all of them can be used. I can confirm Stefan Radu and Marco Parolo will start, but for the others I’ll have to evaluate the various situations.

“We could see Luis Alberto and Felipe Anderson together, just one, or neither of them in the starting XI. The only one with a fitness issue is Senad Lulic, but he ought to be ready. When there are objectives in front of us, we cannot feel fatigue.

“I want to field the team that gives me the most guarantees without thinking about Sunday. We are focused only on RB Salzburg and entering a very important Europa League semi-final.

“Squad rotation would mean thinking of the derby, but right now the one and only fixture that exists for us is Salzburg.”

There is the fear of distraction, as Lazio go head-to-head with Roma in the Derby della Capitale on Sunday evening, which is also a showdown for a place in next season’s Champions League.

They already know the Giallorossi will be fired up after crushing Barcelona 3-0 to reach the Champions League semi-final.

“I compliment Roma for that game and it proves that these ties are played over 180 minutes, so even with an important first leg advantage, it can change completely.

“Tomorrow, tactics and strategy will be very important along with the great spirit we showed in the first leg. Salzburg are well-prepared and organised, while the atmosphere in the stadium will be fiery.

“We are ready, but need another great performance to reach the semi-finals.”
