Simone Inzaghi wants Lazio to “press the reset button” after the euphoric derby victory and focus on Fiorentina. “Federico Chiesa will be talked about for many years.”

“I want to congratulate my players on how they approached the derby, as it wasn’t easy, but now we’ve got to press the reset button and focus on what is a very dangerous game,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“There’s a long way to go, but every match from now on is like a Final. Fiorentina are a very good side, with pace and a lot of attacking potential, so we need to be fully concentrated.”

Inzaghi and the Biancocelesti are feeling confident again after that 3-0 victory over their arch rivals Roma.

“We didn’t lose heart after defeats to Napoli and Juventus, results that we did not deserve. We also lost quite a few players to injury in February and now we’re getting them back.”

Lazio could still be without goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha, defender Senad Lulic and hitman Ciro Immobile tomorrow.

“Strakosha was back in training today and responded well, but we’ll have to see how his shoulder reacts. It was a positive session for Lulic too, while Immobile has always trained except for Tuesday. Everyone is available except for Valon Berisha, Wallace and Jordan Lukaku.

“It’s good that everyone feels they are in with a chance of playing at the weekend and I’ll choose whoever I believe is most suited to the match.

“I can say Luis Alberto will start, then for the others I’ll have to evaluate various elements in the morning.

“Fiorentina are a difficult opponent and I know their Coach well (as Inzaghi replaced sacked Stefano Pioli on the Lazio bench, ndr). They have some very impressive forwards and I’d say in attacking potential they are second to none in Serie A with the likes of Giovanni Simeone, Chiesa, Luis Muriel, Kevin Mirallas and also Marko Pjaca, who unfortunately for him was injured today/

“Chiesa will ensure people are talking about him for many years, because he is an excellent player with a strong family unit behind him.

“I know Chiesa’s father, we played together, and they say Federico also has a younger brother who is very talented.”
