Simone Inzaghi believes Lazio “played the perfect match for 60 minutes” before some late risks as they beat Fiorentina 3-1.

The Biancocelesti flew into joint third place with Napoli, only one point behind Roma.

“I’d say we played the perfect match for 60 minutes and Nenad Tomovic in my view deserved a red card, so the game would’ve ended before half-time,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

“Then we went too deep and lost sharpness, but the victory is deserved. We met Fiorentina last season too and this time I studied them very carefully.

“I thought Bastos, Stefan de Vrij and Stefan Radu in particular were excellent tonight. Fiorentina have quality players, but we did well to hold out and finish them off.”

As Lazio are in joint third place and face Stefano Pioli’s Inter on Wednesday evening, what are their targets?

“We must continue working and trying to improve, that is all. I expect a wonderful game of football against Inter.”
