Simone Inzaghi is “the first to accept responsibility” for Lazio’s defeat to Juventus but reminds critics “we’re in fourth place”.

Lazio’s momentous run of three straight wins came to a halt last weekend as they were beaten 2-0 by Juve, but Inzaghi is confident of a response from his side when they host Chievo on Saturday, despite their “wrong approach” in Turin.

“I’m the first to accept responsibility as I’m the head of the group,” the Coach said at a Press conference.

“We had the wrong approach, we need to pay more attention, but we can’t forget that we’re in fourth place.

“We’ve won all three of our home games since the [winter] break, so we must look to start over. We can’t afford to trip up again.

“We can’t afford to make mistakes on a mental level, but I know that tomorrow we’ll start over in the best way. I’ve seen the right faces.

“Biglia? It’s not fair to find a culprit, none of us were at the races.

“Basta needs to be assessed, Djordjevic responded with a positive performance against Genoa, he’ll replace Immobile in the best way.

“Milinkovic-Savic has experienced huge growth, he deserves to play.

“Hoedt or Wallace? With a back four, two [centre-backs] will play, but I haven’t decided yet. Bastos has also recovered.”
