According to reports in Italy, Inter president Steven Zhang has decided against loaning Francesco Acerbi from Lazio to avoid increasing the wage bill.

The Nerazzurri directors had reached an agreement with Lazio over Acerbi’s temporary move to the Stadio Meazza. The Italy international is no longer on Maurizio Sarri’s plans, so his ex-Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi was willing to reunite with him in Milan.

The three parties had reached an agreement over a loan deal with an option to buy, but Zhang has stopped negotiations, as per Sky Sport Italia and Gazzetta.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the club owner wants to avoid increasing the wage bill, especially after club directors failed to sell one of the team’s stars for a hefty sum.

Inter need to balance the books, so they had been in talks with PSG for Milan Skriniar, failing to reach an agreement with the Ligue 1 giants, who didn’t match their €70m asking price.

Beppe Marotta and Dario Baccin are reportedly trying to change Zhang’s mind, but the deal appears more complicated now, despite Inzaghi’s desire to get a new centre-back to replace Andrea Ranocchia.

the fvk do u mean, milanista fixer? banter milan already have darmian, bellanova and hakan cuckanoglu. they want to be milan so bad

  2. @Milan10

You missed him laughing after Milan scored against Lazio I guess. Anyhow you have had plenty of ex Inter players yourselves, too many to list from all from Ronaldo to Vieri to Seedorf to Pirlo etc.. don’t be a hypocrite

  3. In his mind, Zhang still want to sell Skriniar and find the replacement for Skriniar, not for Ranocchia.
But with only two days remaining, this operation looks impossible and can damage the team if he is brave to pursue.

  4. Ahmed Hossam gets it.

Acerbi should have been investigated for match fixing last season, after the part he played in Milan‘s winning goal (and his reaction afterwards) in the Lazio game last season.

The GK from the Fiorentina game too, Terracciano. But no. No investigation in Italy.
