Inter ultras unveiled a banner during the Derby d’Italia with Juventus that took aim at Champions League opponents FC Porto after 1,000 fans with tickets were locked out of the Do Dragao.

The incident occurred in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16, which ended 0-0, sending the Nerazzurri through 1-0 on aggregate.

Circa 1,000 Inter fans who had bought tickets for areas outside the limited away section were locked outside and refused entry to the match.

The club has lodged a formal appeal to UEFA and Inter ultras sent their own message during this evening’s Derby d’Italia.

“Porto have no dignity, just like their fake ultras,” read the banner written in Portuguese.

The Nerazzurri have made it through to the Champions League quarter-finals and will face another Portuguese side in the form of Benfica.

It is hoped a similar situation will not be repeated when the first leg is played in Lisbon on April 11, while the return is at San Siro on April 19.
