Inter announced to be among the 12 founding members last week and they are the only Serie A side that formally withdrawn from the competition.

According to reports, the remaining clubs could sue those quitting, which could be one of the reasons why Milan, Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona haven’t formally left the competition.

It remains unclear which sanctions the clubs will face for quitting the competition, but Inter won’t face any consequence, according to La Repubblica newspaper.

The paper suggests Inter never formally completed the process of joining the Super League as they didn’t have official approval from creditors and stakeholders.  The Nerazzurri only signalled their intention to participate as one of the founding members.

Il Corriere della Sera reports Real Madrid President Florentino Perez is ready to sue UEFA while Aleksandar Ceferin refused to rule our sanctions for the breakaway clubs.
