Milan Skriniar has still not given Inter a response to their final contract extension offer, but it’s reported the club is prepared to lose him for free rather than sell in January, as PSG and Tottenham Hotspur hover.

The defender is only under contract until June 30 this year, so in theory would be open to negotiate with other clubs from later this month.

The Nerazzurri rejected offers worth up to €75m over the summer from Paris Saint-Germain, confident that he would sign a new deal.

However, weeks after Inter made it clear their proposal worth €6.5m per season including bonuses would not be improved any further, there has still not been a response.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Skriniar is still waiting for €8m per season, which is also significantly lower than the €10m put forward by PSG.

Even if Skriniar does not accept the new contract, Inter still have no intention of selling him in the January transfer window.

It is an all or nothing strategy, hoping he decides to stay or risk losing him as a free agent in July.

3 thought on “Inter take all or nothing approach to Skriniar”
  1. Yeah, treating players like cattle will definitely make you more attractive to the players you want to sign in the future.

  2. Skriniar is a very good footballer, money is not everything, if he wishes to stay at Inter or to move to anather team, he risks it all, he knows what he is at Inter, but he does not know how he will be elsewere. Hope he will always be an Inter footballer.
