Reports claim Inter spoke to Torino Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, but Luciano Spalletti is still their main objective.

The Nerazzurri sacked Stefano Pioli earlier this month after a run of poor results, having already dismissed Frank de Boer and parted company with Roberto Mancini in pre-season.

According to Sky, Granata boss Mihajlovic was contacted about the position, and was on stand-by awaiting news.

It would have been a return to the club for the Serbian, who played for the Beneamata and was Mancini’s assistant in his first spell.

Mihajlovic also has experience on the other side of the San Siro divide, having Coached Milan last season.

However, Inter have decided to pour all their efforts into getting Spalletti, who officially confirmed his Roma departure yesterday and could be announced in the coming days.
