Inter have set a new all-time club record and become only the fourth side to score 100 Serie A goals in a single calendar year, the first since 1950 to reach this remarkable milestone.

The Nerazzurri raced into a 2-0 lead away to Salernitana at the Stadio Arechi this evening after just 33 minutes with Ivan Perisic’s header and a Denzel Dumfries strike off the underside of the bar.

That took their tally of Serie A goals scored during 2021 to a perfect Century.

The previous club record had been 99, set in 1950.

Now Inter become only the fourth club to manage 100 Serie A goals in a single calendar year, although Atalanta could well make it five, as they are already on 99 for 2021 with two games left to play.

Milan achieved it twice, with 105 goals in 1949 and 120 in 1950.

Il Grande Torino scored 111 in 1947 and 114 in 1948.

Juventus managed the Century only once, with a clean 100 goals in 1933.
