The Nerazzurri have won six Serie A games on the bounce and need another victory to keep up with Napoli, who beat Empoli 5-1 last night.

With the Champions League encounter against Barcelona coming up, Luciano Spalletti should rotate his squad to rest players like Mauro Icardi, Ivan Perisic, Milan Skriniar and Matias Vecino.

This would see Lautaro Martinez and Keita step in, though Joao Mario could get his second consecutive start after he was surprisingly picked for the 3-0 win over Lazio last week.

Others who could get rare starts include Dalbert, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Roberto Gagliardini.

Genoa are forced to do without suspended Domenico Criscito, while Nicolas Spolli, Andrea Favilli and Federico Marchetti are injured.

It’s a return to San Siro for ex-Inter men Daniel Bessa and Goran Pandev, although only the former is likely to start.

Krzysztof Piatek is eager to get back on track, having fired blanks for two games, and is supported by pacey Christian Kouame.

It’s a special game for goalkeeper Ionut Radu, who is on loan from Inter and in need of a confidence-booster after his last-gasp error gifted Milan a 2-1 victory in the midweek rescheduled Week 1 game.

Probable line-ups

Inter: Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, De Vrij, Miranda, Dalbert; Gagliardini, Brozovic; Politano, Joao Mario, Keita; Lautaro Martinez

Genoa: Radu; Biraschi, Romero, Zukanovic; Pereira, Romulo, Sandro, Bessa, Lazovic; Piatek, Kouame
