Marco Fassone says decisions on a midseason friendly with Paris Saint-Germain and what Inter do about their stadium are yet to be finalised.

“We can’t confirm anything yet, but we want to give the manager the possibility to prepare well the game on January 6 [against Juventus],” Fassone responded to reporters.

“We are currently evaluating players’ departures and returns. So we will be able to confirm this friendly only if we manage to meet every condition.”

Fassone also commented that Inter will decide what to do with the new ground within a couple of months.

“It’s not only us who decide, but there are the City of Milan and Milan also. We need a couple of months to internally decide what to do – either stay at San Siro by ourselves, with Milan or building altogether a new ground in the areas that we have already pinpointed.

“Whatever the final decision, don’t expect the outcome to be realised soon because we need time.

“What we do know is that both us and Milan are investing €22m to renovate San Siro before the 2016 Champions League Final.

“In the next year-and-a-half the stadium will undergo a few renovations that will change its appearance.”
