Inter have written to the Lega Serie A demanding that their postponed game against Sampdoria is played before they face Juventus.

The campaign is in total chaos after a series of games in Week 25 and 26 were postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

This would reject outright the plan backed by many of the Serie A clubs to simply shuffle along the fixture list by a week, so playing Week 26 when the Week 27 games were meant to be this weekend.

It’s reported 18 out of 20 clubs were in favour of this idea, which would’ve seen Juventus-Inter played on Monday March 9.

This evening, Inter director Beppe Marotta wrote a letter to the Lega Serie A warning that modifying the fixture list was “not even going to be evaluated until it has been completed.”

There is as of now no date for the rescheduled Week 25 fixture Inter-Sampdoria, whereas Juve-Inter was – along with several other games – set for May 13.

The letter warns Inter will “reserve the right to take any action or initiative if decisions are made that violate the sporting and Federal norms, causing damage to a club and/or the health of its employees.”

The letter was also sent to the other 19 Serie A clubs, claim news agency Ansa.
