The Argentine was handed the captaincy last summer but has endured a difficult season in Rome, with the Biancocelesti languishing in eighth place.

Il Messaggero reports today that the playmaker’s agent Enzo Montepaone will soon arrive in the capital as Biglia appears more likely to ask for a move.

The Aquile offered the Argentina international a new deal worth €3m per season until 2020 a month ago, but the report says he could reject the proposal.

The newspaper believes Biglia’s preference is to stay in Italy and that Montepaone has been approached by Juve and Inter about a move as well as foreign clubs.

However, should the 30-year-old refuse a new deal in Rome, Lazio President Claudio Lotito is likely to demand €30-35m for his signature.
