Romelu Lukaku returned to Inter’s training ground in Appiano Gentile today as he continues working towards a return in the upcoming clash against Udinese.

The 29-year-old Belgian forward started the season well under Simone Inzaghi, scoring a goal and providing an assist in the opening three games, but he was forced to the sidelines after suffering from muscle issues, which left him unavailable for the derby defeat to Milan, as well as the loss to Bayern Munich.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Lukaku returned to Appiano Gentile today after spending the last few days in Belgium undergoing a new round of medical checks. The Belgian continued his recovery programme at the Inter training ground, working individually as the club carefully manage his condition.

The Chelsea loanee is pushing hard to try and be fit in time for next weekend’s clash against Udinese, so he won’t take part in the upcoming Champions League game against Viktoria Plzen.
