Matteo Politano is very close to joining Inter from Sassuolo, as Napoli ended their interest after agreeing terms for Simone Verdi.

The winger had been on the verge of a Napoli transfer in January, but the paperwork didn’t go through in time.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Partenopei have given up on Politano after securing a deal with Bologna for Verdi.

With Milan held back by Financial Fair Play considerations and Juventus holding back for other targets, it seems as if Inter have the all-clear to get Politano under contract.
