If Inter do sell Andre Onana, then they are zeroing in on Atalanta and Italy Under-21 international goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi as his replacement.

The price-tag for Onana has been set at €60m including bonuses, but Manchester United saw their first offer of €40m plus €5m in add-ons rejected outright this evening.

They need to raise it considerably, while there is also interest from Chelsea and even Al-Nassr, who just bought Marcelo Brozovic.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri need an heir to the Cameroon international and Sportitalia claim director Beppe Marotta was in contact with Atalanta twice over the last few days to discuss Carnesecchi.

He turned 23 on Saturday and is a product of the Atalanta youth academy, spending the last two seasons on loan with Cremonese.

Lazio had also been very eager to sign him last summer, but were forced to go elsewhere after he underwent shoulder surgery.

The asking price is believed to be in the region of €20m, although it could be lowered with a percentage of the sell-on fee.
