Inter do not want to lose Paris Saint-Germain target Milan Skriniar on a free transfer next summer and they’re preparing two offers to try and agree a new deal, reports suggest.
The 27-year-old Slovakian centre back was the subject of serious transfer rumours across the summer, with PSG seemingly desperate to secure his signature. Inter held firm in their €70m+ requests, pushing the Parisians away, but this tactic won’t continue working for long as his current contract is now entering it’s final 10 months.
As detailed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have come up with two ideas in an attempt to keep Skriniar. The first would be a long-term renewal, a five-year deal worth around €6.5m net per season.
The other idea would be a shorter-term plan, a two-year contract renewal with slightly lower wages than the other offer, around €5m net, which may be preferable if the player is keen for a new adventure.
PSG are set to return for Skriniar in the upcoming January transfer window, so the Nerazzurri will need to work fast if they want to avoid an uncomfortable situation in the winter.
