According to the Express this weekend, Chelsea and Liverpool are both lining up impressive £28m (€35m) offers for the striker next season.

At the same time, Italian papers have been suggesting over the last few days that Inter could cash in on Icardi if Daniel Pablo Osvaldo continues to improve.

Osvaldo is on loan from Southampton with an option to buy at the end of the season for around £10m (€11m).

So far this season Osvaldo has behaved himself both on and off the pitch, scoring six goals in 14 games between Serie A and the Europa League.

He also provided five assists, proving himself very useful, and has impressed new Coach Roberto Mancini.

Icardi was extremely close to former boss Walter Mazzarri and it’s rumoured Mancini is more than prepared to let him go if it means bringing in other reinforcements.
