Inter CEO Michael Bolingbroke has insisted that the club “absolutely haven’t given up on the Scudetto” this season.

Inter ended a run of three straight Serie A defeats on Wednesday as they beat Torino 2-1, yet despite the side still some 10 points behind leaders Juventus and speculation over Frank de Boer’s position persisting, Bolingbroke made it clear the Nerazzurri were in the title mix.

“We haven’t given up the on title,” he said at a shareholders’ meeting on Friday.

“We’d still like to qualify for the Champions League, but we absolutely haven’t given up on the Scudetto.

“We still have the Scudetto on our agenda. We still have the objective of bringing home the title.

“It was a very difficult decision to change Coach, so I take this opportunity to thank Roberto Mancini. We’re really very happy with Frank de Boer. It’s never easy.”
