Inter have unveiled their away shirt for the 2018-19 campaign, which marks the return of ‘Il Biscione’ from eight years ago.

Inter’s reverse strip for 10-11 [pictured at the bottom of this article] was notable for its serpent down the left-hand side, and it will be back on their equivalent jersey for next season in the form of a snake-like weave all over.

“Back in 2010–11, Inter's iconic away kit featured a bold graphic interpretation of the Biscione on the sleeve,” Pete Hoppins, Nike Football Apparel Senior Design Director, told the club’s official website.

“The 2018-19 away draws inspiration from the Biscione and its influence on the club and kits of the past, and this time it’s executed through an all-over print inspired by world famous Milanese fashion.”

Il Biscione is a grass snake and described by the Nerazzurri as ‘a powerful Milanese symbol intrinsic to local identity’.

The shirt is white, in line with tradition, while the badge is trimmed with gold and a small serpent appears on its V-neck, with one sporting blue and the other black.

The Beneamata’s Press release adds the matching shorts are white and that the socks are blue, incorporating a black band just under the knee, Nike’s ‘swoosh’ logo and INTER written in white.

It goes on sale this Thursday and can be bought from Inter’s official website or in stores.
