Inter's Piero Ausilio says that 'he's not scared by Juventus' but admits the deal for Lazio's Antonio Candreva is difficult.

The sporting director was intercepted by the Press today as he boarded the plane that would take him to the United States, where his team is currently based.

“Juve were already strong and they reinforced themselves with some great players,” Ausilio admitted to FcInterNews.it. “But I'm looking within our own walls. I'm not scared by the fact that Juventus signed Higuain. We know we're lacking something, but also that we signed many good players.

“There's a negotiation ongoing for Candreva, and nobody ever denied it would be a pleasure to have him. The problem is our economic distance.

“[Lazio president Claudio] Lotito named a price, while we're starting from a different premise. But there's an open negotiation and if the economic conditions allow for it, then the deal will be done.

“[Manolo] Gabbiadini isn't part of our plans. [Domenico] Berardi has been a closed option for a month and a half, ever since Sassuolo closed their doors.

“Inter are only thinking about reinforcing the team. We want to buy rather than sell, especially not our best players to our direct rivals.

“And as we've been saying for months there's the Financial Fair Play regulations. We can only name 21 players for the Europa League and we've got 25-26. Some of them will be leaving, and the players know that.

“From here until August 21 we'll try bringing into the team this player we're working on, then we'll see.”
