Il Mancio seemed set for a long-term project when he embarked with the Nerazzurri last year, but the acquisition of Inter by a Chinese conglomerate could change everything.

“I often speak with him, but it's about football,” said Ausilio, as reported by FcInterNews.it. “It's the president who knows how he feels. I'll be involved once I get to the USA but I don't know of anything in particular. We talk about the market, negotiations and players to bring in.

“That I know of, he never changed his mind,” he said, echoing Mancini's own statements.

“He started a project with us. We only have to think of how his work can do the good of Inter. We did well with [Ever] Banega, [Cristian] Ansaldi and [Caner] Erkin. We already picked something up and we're still working on it.

“There are no names in particular. We always signed young players, our youth team produces many of them every year. Youngsters can be signed or produced at home and we know how to do that.

“The new ownership has only been here for one month, you can't expect them to do in one summer what other clubs do in years.

“We want to set up a good project, which started with very little under the old ownership, and turn Inter into a winning team.”
