There is good news for both Inter and the Croatia national team, as it’s reported Marcelo Brozovic has no significant muscular injuries.

The midfielder went off just five minutes into the second half of the World Cup semi-final against Argentina, a match they went on to lose 3-0.

Coach Zlatko Dalic confirmed he made the substitution because Brozovic felt a twinge in his thigh and they did not want to risk further damage.

According to Sky Sport Italia, tests performed today showed that there is nothing serious and Brozovic should be fit to play the third-place Final on Sunday against either France or Morocco.

Brozovic had been ever-present for his national team at the World Cup in Qatar, starting all six games.

He is also a key figure for Inter, but missed a whole month’s worth of matches in Serie A and the Champions League in October due to another muscular problem in his thigh.

The 30-year-old only made three brief substitute appearances for Inter in the build-up to the World Cup.
