Lorenzo Insigne wasn’t happy about being subbed off in the second half of Fiorentina vs. Napoli and made sure Luciano Spalletti knew it.

The Italian winger was replaced after 70 minutes by Diego Demme, but wasn’t too happy about his coach’s decision.

According to CalcioNapoli24, Insigne looked at Spalletti, telling him: ‘I had more in the tank.’

Insigne insisted he wasn’t tired and therefore, he wanted to remain on the pitch.

The Italy international had missed a penalty in the first half, but Hirving Lozano was the quickest to pounce on the rebound, scoring his second Serie A goal this season.

Chelsea ready to offload out-of-favour duo and sign Insigne

Insigne’s contract expires at the end of the season and a number of European clubs have been linked with securing his services, including Inter, Chelsea and Tottenham.

Insigne wants a pay rise to extend his stay at Napoli, while the Partenopei could offer him a pay cut to balance the books.

The 30-year-old is a product of Napoli academy and has scored 111 goals in 405 games with the Partenopei.
