Gokhan Inler has promised that Napoli will do everything in their power to secure third place this season, starting against Juventus.

The Azzurri travel north to Turin to take on the title-chasing Bianconeri three points adrift of Lazio in the third and final Champions League qualification position.

Inler, who helped Udinese to qualify for the competition last season before playing in it with Napoli this term, is keen that the Partenopei take something from Week 30’s match, so as to maintain momentum.

Inler, who helped Udinese to qualify for the competition last season before playing in it with Napoli this term, is keen that the Partenopei take something from Week 30’s match, so as to maintain momentum.

“Against Juve it will be a very important game and we will do well, at all costs. Third place is our goal, we want to again play in the Champions League. Juve are a great team and it will not be easy.”

Earlier in the week, teammate Edinson Cavani called on his teammates to improve their concentration during games, having seen the side lose a two-goal lead against Catania to only draw in Week 29.

“Cavani has called for more focus? He is right, we need to avoid lapses in concentration and improve ourselves to be 100 per cent in every game that we play. From now on, every challenge is decisive.”

The Vesuviani will also face Antonio Conte’s side in May’s Coppa Italia final.

“Now, we only care about the League. The Coppa Italia is another matter. We must seek to work hard to achieve our objectives.

“Maybe against Juventus I will score, but this interests me little. The important thing is that Napoli win so as to reach third place.”
