They were already missing Lucas Biglia – who underwent surgery today and will be out for four months – Gonzalo Higuain, Mattia Caldara, Jack Bonaventura and Davide Calabria.

Musacchio fell heavily to the ground after a collision with teammate Franck Kessie and there were panicked calls for the medical staff, as he appeared to briefly lose consciousness.

According to the latest reports from Seville, Musacchio was able to walk back to the team bus and reassured everyone in the mixed zone: “I’m fine.”

He will undergo tests and it remains to be seen if the defender will be ready to play against Juventus on Sunday.

Calhanoglu added to the list of possible absentees, as he limped off in the final minutes with a knock to the ankle.

There were further worries in the mixed zone after the game, as Patrick Cutrone was spotted limping on his left ankle, the same one he hurt during international duty and which kept him out for a couple of weeks.

Cutrone was playing this evening because Higuain is in serious doubt to feature against his old club due to a back problem.
