The Nerazzurri head into the weekend’s derby with Milan under new direction from their returning Coach, following Erick Thohir’s actions taken last Friday.

“It was a quick change from one day to another,” striker Icardi has today considered to Sky Sport 24.

“Walter Mazzarri has gone and in has come Roberto Mancini. We as a team always have to do our best.

“Unfortunately in football it is the Coach who always pays, but it is us that are out there on the field.

“When a new Coach arrives they do not have the same ideas as the previous one, and now we all begin again from scratch, we are all on the same level now.

“And this is one more reason to work – when there is a coaching change it always brings with it something extra.

“With Mazzarri we were always working all day on what was going wrong in the match and what we and the staff had to improve in that aspect.

“With Mancini I believe that it will be the same  – the group must be united on the field, whilst we also need to improve, with the help from the staff.”
