The Swede arrived as a free agent in January and signed on until the end of the season.

He had been ready to walk away, but the decision to stick with coach Stefano Pioli and director Paolo Maldini seems to have changed his mind.

The Corriere della Sera newspaper claims the contract will be one year, with an option for a second tied to Champions League qualification.

As for Ibra, he’d earn €5m per season plus performance-related bonuses worth over €1m.

The striker will turn 39 in October 2020, but scored 10 goals with five assists in 17 competitive games since moving back to Milan in January.
