Amid reports his MLS club are not prepared to sell so soon after his arrival, while negotiations over the length of the contract caused issues with Milan, there could be a compromise to suit everyone.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the solution is for Ibra to join Milan on loan during the MLS close season from January to June 2019.
At that point, depending on the Rossoneri’s financial status and Champions League qualification, not to mention the 37-year-old’s performances and fitness levels, all three parties would sit down and discuss what to do next.
Ibrahimovic has seemingly worked out personal terms for a six-month contract worth €2.2m, so if it was a loan deal, Milan would only pay that sum.
It is not dissimilar to the way David Beckham joined Milan on loan, also from the LA Galaxy.
