Zlatan Ibrahimovic was involved in a practice match at Milanello today, but according to reports in Italy, he played with the U18 squad, partnering with his son Maximilian in attack.

The Swede has not been included in Milan‘s Champions League list for the knock-out phase, so he was not available for the first leg of the Round of 16 against Tottenham on Tuesday.

He played in a practice match at Milanello on Wednesday, joining those who hadn’t featured against Tottenham or had only been partially involved.

However, according to Gazzetta and Sky Sport Italia, Ibra didn’t play with Milan’s senior players but started for the U18 squad alongside his 16-year-old son Maximilian.

According to Gazzetta, Ibra played as a centre forward while his son was deployed on the right wing.

Ibrahimovic’s sons, Maximilian and Vincent, one year younger than his brother, play in Milan’s youth sector. Both Ante Rebic and Charles De Ketelaere got their names on the scoresheet at Milanello today with the Belgian striker scoring a brace.

Ibrahimovic has been out of action since May 2022 and was called up for his first competitive game of the season last week against Torino.
